January 5 (SeeNews) - Bosnian company OC Jahorina, which operates a ski resort by the same name in the country, will launch the construction of a six-seater cable car line in the spring, local media reported on Tuesday.
The planned 7 km cable car line will have the capacity to transport 2,400 people per hour, news portal eKapija.com reported.
In November, OC Jahorina opened a tender for the construction of a 17 million marka ($10.2 million/8.7 million euro) cable car line. The tender call expired on December 17.
Earlier in 2020, OC Jahorina took out loans totalling some 40 million marka for several infrastructure projects.
Jahorina, the largest ski resort in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosted the Winter Olympics in 1984 when Bosnia was still part of the former Yugoslavia.
