SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 27 (SeeNews) – The government of Bosnia's Federation said it has set aside 1 million marka ($607,200/511,300 euro) in subsidies for the launch of a regular air link between the city of Mostar and Croatia's capital Zagreb.
The subsidy aims to cover the costs of the airline that will service the flights to ensure the profitability and continuity of the route, the government said in a statement late last week.
According to local media reports, Croatia Airlines is mulling launching the route next summer.
Mostar and Zagreb have not been linked by air for some 12 years. B&H Airlines ran the service until 2006, under a code share agreement with Croatia Airlines.
The Federation is own of two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
