Belgrade bourse BELEX15 loses ground as Messer, NIS fall

June 26 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange lost ground on Wednesday, dragged down by losses in industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] and oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], bourse data showed.

The BELEX15 shed 0.48%, closing at 983.23 points.

Messer Tehnogas led the blue-chip decliners on Wednesday by dropping 2.03% to close at 24,002 dinars as only one share traded.

NIS lost 1.36% to close at 800 dinars as 117 changed hands.

At the other end, renewable energy firm Fintel Energija [BEL:FINT] was the sole blue-chip gainer, adding 4.13% to close at 680 dinars, on a volume of 10 traded shares.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closing flat at 2,206.90 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse declined to 24.9 million dinars ($228,000/214,000 euro) on Wednesday from 113.5 million dinars on Tuesday when trading in government securities generated 108.7 million dinars of the total. Government bonds trading totalled 23 million dinars on Wednesday.
