September 22 (SeeNews) - Serbia's British American Tobacco Vranje [BEL:DIVR] has started production of cigarettes under the Dunhill brand at its Serbian factory in Vranje, the country manager for Serbia and Montenegro, Milorad Krstikeski, said on Tuesday.
"We have already started production of Dunhill in Vranje. We have made additional investments in the upgrade of our production capacity," Krstikeski said in a video file posted on the website of Tanjug news agency.
The production of Dunhill in Vranje will increase BAT's market share in Serbia and is in line with the company's strategy to expand its presence in Southeastern Europe (SEE), Krstikeski said.
"Four years ago, 10% of the total output of the Vranje factory was exported, while now we export one-third of total production and we keep expanding that share," he added.
BAT operates in Serbia through its wholly-owned subsidiary British American Tobacco Vranje [BEL:DIVR] and produces the Lucky Strike, Pall Mall, Kent, Lord and Viceroy brands in Vranje.
