February 14 (SeeNews) - Austrian credit insurance company Acredia said on Tuesday it started direct operations in Croatia.
“Acredia has been present in Croatia since 2012, within Allianz Trade, and from now on it will operate under its own name,” the company said in a press release.
Acredia is is a subsidiary of Vienna-based Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (51%) and German insurer Euler Hermes (49%), which operates under the brand name Allianz Trade.
A survey carried among 150 Croatian companies by Acredia at the beginning of this year showed that 80.7% of the companies have no insurance for loss of receivables, although 84% of the polled companies faced difficulties to collect their receivables in the previous 12 months.
