November 13 (SeeNews) - Albania’s Tirana Bank, wholly owned by Albanian diverse conglomerate Balfin, said its net profit increased 96% to 1.67 billion leks ($17.1 million/16 million euro) in the third quarter of 2023, compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
Total assets increased to 126.7 billion leks, from 111.5 billion leks at the end of September 2022, Tirana Bank said in an interim financial report last week.
The lender’s loan portfolio totalled 54.6 billion leks at the end of September, up from 52.5 billion leks a year earlier, the Albanian banking association said earlier.
Tirana Bank’s deposit portfolio rose to 106.2 billion leks as at end-September, from 92.8 billion leks a year earlier, according to the association.
Tirana Bank was the seventh largest bank among eleven banks operating in Albania at the end of September, holding 6.6% of the total assets of the country's banking system.
