October 7 (SeeNews) - Albania's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by a real 3.21% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2016, after growing by 2.96% in the first quarter, the country's statistics office, INSTAT, said on Friday.
On a quarterly basis, the country's economy grew 0.91% in the March-June period, after expanding by 1.20% in the previous quarter, INSTAT data showed.
The main contributors to the country's economic growth in the second quarter were wholesale and retail trade, transportation, and hotel and restaurant services.
