October 7 (SeeNews) - Albania’s economic confidence indicator fell by 1.8 percentage points (pp) to 107.6 in September, but still remains above the long-term average, the central bank said on Thursday.
The economic confidence indicator in September was influenced by the fall of confidence in the construction and services sectors, Bank of Albania said in a monthly survey.
The construction confidence indicator dropped by 6.4 pp in September, compared with the previous month, whereas the services confidence indicator was down 4.2 pp.
The industry confidence indicator edged up by 0.5 pp in September compared with August, while the trade confidence indicator inched up 1 pp. The consumer confidence indicator increased 0.8% month-on-month in September.
Bank of Albania is carrying out the surveys of businesses and consumers since 2002. Starting from May 2021, the frequency of the survey was changed from quarterly to monthly.
