August 30 (SeeNews) - Albanian authorities issued 347 building permits in the second quarter, up 66% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INSTAT, said on Monday.Of these, 252 permits were issued for the construction of residential buildings, INSTAT said in a quarterly report.The estimated value of the approved construction projects in the period under review totalled 23.1 billion leks ($223.6 million/189.5 million euro), compared with 14.8 billion leks in the second quarter of 2020.The highest number of permits, 100, were issued for buildings in the port city of Durres, followed by 86 in the capital Tirana.(1 euro = 121.895 leks)
