“Thus, Balfin leads the way for TBU towards a new chapter of development, both in terms of technical and financial perspectives,” the group said in a website notice on Friday.

In May, Balfin bought some 17% from minority shareholders and purchased 13% from the previous majority shareholder, Artan Hoxha, whose stake decreased to 40%, documents from the Albanian business register show.

In 2014, Balfin Group acquired 30% of TBU.

According to Balfin’s website, it has since enabled its students to follow their careers at the group’s companies.

TBU operates since 2010, offering bachelor and master programs in business administration with management, finance and accounting and marketing profiles, as well as law and public administration.

Balfin is operates in ten countries in wholesale and retail, banking, real estate, asset management, tourism, media, and logistics. The group employs approximately 5,000 people, according to its website.
