April 12 (SeeNews) - Albania's government has decided to restart flights to and from the UK starting April 12 after a four-month suspension, local media reported.
Albania's Committee of Experts recommended the resumption of flights due to the improvement of the COVID-19 situation in the UK, news portal Exit quoted Albania's health minister Ogerta Manastirliu as saying.
Albania halted all flights to and from the UK in December due to a COVID-19 mutation thought to be more transmissible, which was first detected in Britain.
The government set up the Committee of Experts last year to advise on measures for limiting the spread of the coronavirus infection.
