Albania opens 11 mln euro of water supply, sewerage tenders

June 18 (SeeNews) - Albanian authorities have opened two tenders for the construction of water supply and sewerage networks with an estimated total budget of some 1.1 billion leks ($11.4 million/10.7 million euro), official documents showed.

The National Agency for Water Supply and Sanitation, AKUK, has opened a tender procedure for a project valued at 562.8 million leks for the construction of a water supply network in the town of Mamurras, in northwestern Albania. Offers can be submitted until July 10.

To double water capacity in Mamurras, prospective bidders will be required to drill three new wells near the town’s water source and build a new water supply network capable of delivering 60 litres of water per second, within 18 months.

The state-owned company managing water supply networks in the central town of Kamez, UKK, said it opened a tender for a project valued at 508 million leks, for the construction of water supply and sewerage systems in the village of Valias. Offers can be submitted until July 3.
