January 22 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia plans to launch a service linking Belgrade to Switzerland's Geneva on March 1, it said.
The company will operate the flights twice a week - on Monday and Friday, it said in a statement on Thursday.
"We are carefully monitoring all the changes in travel restrictions and demand, trying to act quickly and seize all the opportunities that open up on the market. In July, we already launched a new destination – Oslo, which proved to be an excellent business decision as the Norwegian capital is currently one of Air Serbia’s top five destinations. Additionally, establishing a codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines resulted in the introduction of daily flights to Istanbul, which have excellent passenger load factor that reaches more than 80%" said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia, said.
Monday flights to Geneva will provide good connectivity to other destinations in the Serbian airline’s network, such as Athens, Istanbul, Larnaca, Moscow, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Tirana and Tivat.
Geneva is Air Serbia’s second destination in Switzerland, along with Zurich.
