January 6 (SeeNews) - Air Serbia plans to enter into a codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways to provide a wider selection of destinations to passengers, local media reported on Friday.
Air Serbia will add its codes on Qatar Airways flights from Belgrade to Doha, as well as destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, aviation news portal EX-YU Aviation reported.
Qatar Airways, in turn, will add its marketing codes and flight numbers to most Air Serbia flights from Belgrade, unlocking a number of new routes.
Over the last three years, Etihad Airways reduced their stake in the Serbian flag carrier from 49% to 16.4%. The state owns the remaining 83.57%, according to data from the central securities and clearing house.
