December 24 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia's general manager commercial and strategy Jiri Marek will be appointed new chief executive officer (CEO) on 1 January 2022, the company said.
The current CEO, Duncan Naysmith, has decided to step down for personal reasons after four years in the position, and will be pursuing new career opportunity within another airline, Air Serbia said in a statement on Thursday.
"Jiri Marek had been leading network expansion and commercial transformation to be delivering record breaking results at the end of 2019 of 2.8 million passengers, continued by double digit growth in first two months of 2020," Branislav Pejcic, chairman of the supervisory board of Air Serbia, said.
