AFI Europe Romania secures building permit for Arad retail park

BUCHAREST (Romania), August 20 (SeeNews) – Real estate investor and developer AFI Europe Romania said on Monday it has received a building permit for the AFI Palace Arad retail project in the country's west.

Now that the permit has been secured, construction works on AFI Palace Arad should start in the coming months, AFI Europe Romania said in a statement.

AFI Palace Arad will comprise a hypermarket, a do-it-yourself store and retail space for other tenants. The total lettable area of the retail park is 32,000 square metres, the developer said.

AFI Europe Romania is part of real estate investment and development company AFI Europe which has been present in the country since 2005. It developed and manages Romania’s biggest shopping centre, AFI Palace Cotroceni. The company plans to develop the AFI Palace Ploiesti Shopping Mall, AFI Palace B.NOI Shopping Mall and AFI Business Park Cotroceni between 2012 and 2013.
