January 26 (SeeNews) - Central European private equity investor Abris Capital Partners said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement to acquire Romanian dental consumables and equipment distributor Dentstore.

The agreement is conditional upon securing clearance from the relevant antitrust authorities. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
"This acquisition is part of our vision to build a portfolio of leading companies within the fast-growing dental supplies market in Central and Southeast Europe. Our goal is to further support Dentstore’s growth and help it expand into new markets, leveraging our strong track record in the sector," Abris managing partner Pawel Gierynski, said.
Abris began investing in the dental sector in 2019, with the acquisition of Dentotal setting out a plan to create the clear leader in the dental supplies market in the region. Following the acquisition of Dentstore and that of Dentatechnica last year, Abris aims to continue building its portfolio of businesses in the sector through organic growth and further consolidation of local markets in the region.
Established in 2007, Abris Capital Partners is an independent private equity fund manager, focused on mid- market opportunities in the major countries of Central Europe, with an investment capital of almost 1.3 billion euro.
CEE-focused Dentstore was founded in 2012 in Romania, and expanded its operations in Bulgaria in 2017.
