September 6 (SeeNews) - US-based IT services company 3Pillar Global said on Wednesday it has inaugurated its third development centre in Romania, in the northeastern city of Iasi.
Based in the Moldova Business Centre office building, the 700 sq m development centre will employ some 50 engineers and IT specialists, he company said in a press release.
3Pillar Global plans to hire 50 more at its Iasi centre by the end of the year.
"Iasi proved to be the ideal choice for us and our objective is to replicate the success we have had so far with our centres already open in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara. Like the other two cities where we operate successfully in Romania, Iasi is a dynamic city that manages to attract top talent with special technical abilities," 3Pillar Global founder and CEO David DeWolf said.
The company is currently seeking to attract senior and middle-level specialists with a minimum of 2 years experience in IT and proven skills in technologies used to develop web applications such as Java, Phyton, mobile apps and testing.
The company has been present in Romania since 2009 and employs some 450 people in its two development centres in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara.
3Pillar Global was founded in 2006 in Fairfax, Virginia. Besides the United States, the company has offices in Romania, India and the UK, where some 800 people work.
The company’s core competency is software engineering, which they execute through their eight core services and technology areas that include cloud, mobile, and big data.
