1946 - Gradska Stedionica changes its name to Gradska Stedionica Zagreb.

Mar 2002 - Italian banking group UniCredit S.p.A. (formerly known as UniCredito Italiano S.p.A.) and German financial services provider Allianz AG acquire a 82% stake and a 14% stake in Zagrebacka Banka d.d., respectively.
Mar 6, 2003 - Zagreb-based commercial bank Cassa di Risparmio di Trieste-Banca d.d., part of UniCredit S.p.A., merges into Zagrebacka Banka d.d.

Jan 15, 2013 - Zagrebacka Banka d.d. acquires additional 21.24% in Istraturist d.d. for HRK 155 mln.
Sept 4, 2013 - The bank establishes a local insurance subsidiary ZABA Partner d.o.o.
August 2014 - Zagrebacka Banka d.d. sells its 93% in Istraturist d.d. to Croatian company Plava Laguna d.d. for EUR 120 mln.
Apr 29, 2015 - The bank acquires 100% in UniCredit Leasing Croatia d.o.o. and Locat Leasing Croatia d.o.o. for HRK 263.3 mln.
2015 - Zagrebacka Banka d.d. acquires additional 33.7% in the Bosnian bank UniCredit Bank d.d. for EUR 93 mln and increases its stake in the bank to 99.3%.
Apr 17, 2018 - Zagrebacka Banka d.d. takes over its wholly owned housing savings unit Prva Stambena Stedionica d.d., which ceases to exist as a separate legal entity.
