August 10 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost air carrier Wizz Air has delayed to 2021 the launch of new routes that will connect Serbia's Belgrade to nine European cities, the company's flight schedule shows.
Wizz Air will start operating flights from Belgrade to Hamburg, Brussels, Barcelona, Oslo, Cologne, Milan, Turku and Lisbon in March 2021, while a service to Friedrichshafen will be operated once a week between September 17 and October 22, before being resumed in March, according to flight schedule data.
Wizz Air initially planned to connect Belgrade to Hamburg, Friedrichshafen, Brussels, Barcelona, Oslo, Cologne, Milan, Turku and Lisbon in July, but later postponed the introduction of the services twice -- for August and then for September.
As of March 30, the airline will connect the Serbian capital city to Friedrichshafen, Barcelona and Lisbon. The flights to Hamburg, Turku and Cologne will be operated as of March 29, while those to Brussels, Oslo and Milan will be launched on March 28.
Wizz Air reopened on June 1 its Belgrade base that had been closed since March due to the coronavirus-related air travel restrictions.
