December 21 (SeeNews) - Italian banking group UniCredit said on Wednesday it has sold, through its Slovenian unit, a portfolio of non-performing Slovenian loans with a gross book value of some 110 million euro ($114.4 million), to B2 KAPITAL.
"UniCredit announces it has reached an agreement with B2 KAPITAL in relation to the disposal on a non-recourse basis (pro-soluto) of a portfolio composed of secured/unsecured non-performing loans granted to corporate and private individual customers", UniCredit said in a statement.
The sale is part of UniCredit Group's on-going activities to sell non-core assets and strengthen its credit profile. The impact will be reflected in fourth quarter 2016 balance sheet, the lender noted.
