Unique Business Event Dedicated to Non-Performing Loans in Southeast Europe

The SEE NPL Forum, dedicated to the non-performing loans in Southeast Europe, will be organised on November 17th at the Mona Plaza Hotel, Belgrade, Serbia and via online platform. The seventh edition of the Forum, titled "Perpetuum Mobile", is organised under the institutional support of the National Association of Valuers of Serbia (NAVS).

Non-performing loans have been one of the most significant economic topics over the past decade, resulting from major economic pressures and the inability of businesses and individuals to repay borrowed assets. Efficiently managing them can significantly impact the liquidity of national economies and their recovery from the effects of economic and financial crises. On the contrary, accumulated bad loans lead to a stifling of financing activities, inevitably slowing economic growth. The complex and delicate NPL market ecosystem involves a range of participants, including commercial banks, investment funds, NPL servicers, real estate companies, financial and legal advisors, regulators, and appraisers.

The conference will be attended by representatives from various organizations such as the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, the National Bank of Serbia, the Croatian National Bank, the Central Bank of Montenegro, Slovenian Sovereign Holding, and The World Bank. In addition, the Association of Serbian Debt Management Companies (AKUPS), the National Association of Valuers of Serbia, local and international banks, and companies involved in the debt buying, management, and recovery ecosystem like ODM Collections, VP Law FirmEOS MatrixQUALCO, and others will also be present at the Forum.

How will the latest economic trends, geopolitical events, inflation, and the energy crisis affect regional economies and the financial industry? How are banks managing risks today? Can ESG be a future driver of NPLs? How important is it to secure receivables? How else can economic liquidity be ensured? Where are NPL investors currently putting their money? What types of NPL transactions can we expect to see in the Southeast Europe market? How important is it to regulate the NPL servicer industry? You can learn more about these and similar questions at the seventh SEE NPL Forum.

For more details about the Forum and registration, don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or call +381 11 4090 532. The conference is organised by New Angles Consulting, a company specialised in organising business conferences.
