April 9 (SeeNews) - Montenegro’s state-owned airport operator Aerodromi Crne Gore said on Tuesday that it will open in May the second terminal at the airport in the coastal town of Tivat, following refurbishment and installation of new equipment.
The airport will require an additional number of workers this summer once the terminal starts operations, Tivat Airport director, Vladimir Prascevic, said in a press release.
In March, transport minister Filip Radulovic said that the second terminal at Tivat airport will be operational throughout this year's summer season.
The second terminal at the Tivat airport was opened in July last year for the summer season but it only served a limited number of departure flights.
The airports in Tivat and the capital Podgorica served a total of 2.51 million passengers last year, up from 1.92 million in 2022.
