March 29 (SeeNews) - Serbian glassmaker Srpska Fabrika Stakla (SFS) said on Wednesday that it will operate at around 30% of its production capacity due to a damaged glass furnace, expecting to return to full production capacity within a year.
The company is investing in the construction of a replacement furnace, which is already underway and should start operating at the beginning of next year, it said in a statement.
In the meantime, SFS is using a smaller furnace.
Swiss company Global Glass, the owner of Serbian glassmaker Srpska Fabrika Stakla (SFS), said in December that it plans to invest over 300 million euro ($326 million) in it in the next six years.
GlobalGlass completed the takeover of insolvent Serbian glassmaker Srpska Fabrika Stakla (SFS) for an undisclosed sum in October 2022.
