December 6 (SeeNews) - Swiss company Global Glass, the new owner of Serbian glassmaker Srpska Fabrika Stakla (SFS), plans to invest over 300 million euro ($316 million) in it in the next six years, the Serbian government said.
The planned output of the SFS plant in Paracin, in the central part of the country, will be up to 1,400 tonnes of glass per day from 2028, the president of Global Glass board of directors, Igor Lah, said as quoted in a government press release on Friday.
The number of employees at the plant will rise to between 700 and 750, prime minister Ana Brnabic said, as quoted in the same statement.
Global Glass announced in October it is taking over insolvent SFS for an undisclosed sum.
SFS was put up for sale on September 7.
