September 24 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,036 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 1.2 million dinars. NIS closed up 0.17% at 580 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.47% at 691.80 points.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 7.89% to 410 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.41% at 1,503.51.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 1.692 billion dinars ($16.8 million/14.4 million euro) on Thursday, up from 6.7 million dinars on Wednesday, as 24 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 69,900 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.69 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Thursday.
