December 13 (SeeNews) - Moldovan airline HiSky said that on December 12 it has received clearance to operate flights to and from the United States.
"After successfully completing all stages of the verification process, the U.S. Department of Transportation has granted us the Foreign Air Carrier Permit. This means that, starting today, HiSky has the right to operate flights to any destination in the United States," the airline said in a social media post on Tuesday.
HiSky annonced in June that it planned to start operating scheduled and charter flights to the United States by the end of the summer.
HiSky was established in 2020 and and operates international flights from Moldova's capital Chisinau and the Romanian cities of Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Baia Mare.
