September 20 (SeeNews) - Croatian company Mali Losinj has opened a factory for mineral water bottling near the Macedonian town of Debar, Macedonia's economy minister has said.
Investment in the factory totals 14 million euro, economy minister Driton Kuchi said in a statement on Monday.
The Croatian investor initially planned to invest 7.7 million euro when the construction of the factory started in 2013, according to the statement.
The factory employs 25 workers and that number is planned to increase in the near future. The daily capacity of the factory is 200,000 litres of bottled water per eight-our working day.
Both the factory and the bottled water will bear the name MAYA.
Mali Losinj was awarded a concession on a site containing underground mineral water reserves near Debar in 2012.
