September 22 (SeeNews) - Croatian pharmaceuticals producer Jadran Galenski Laboratorij (JGL) said on Friday it completed a 53 million euro ($57 million) investment project, boosting its production and research capacity.
The project, named INTEGRA, included construction of high-tech facilities on two locations near Rijeka, and took three years to complete, the company said in a press release.
Thanks to a new line installed for sterile production of drop solutions and spays, the company’s capacity in that segment has increased 60%. The company’s new production facility covers 3,250 square metres and its new laboratories spread on 2,450 square metres.
As part of the investment project, it also presented a new 20,000 square metres logistics distribution center with a capacity of 17,500 pallets.
Founded in 1991, JGL is one of the largest drug makers in Croatia, specialised in the production of sterile nose, eye and ear drop solutions.
