August 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's fuel retailer Petrol [BUL:5PET] said on Monday it turned to a net loss of 12.6 million levs ($7.2 million/6.4 million euro) for the first half, reversing a profit of 10.5 million levs for the same period last year.
The company's net sales revenue fell 28% on the year to 224.3 million levs in January-June, reflecting a lower volume of fuel sales and lower fuel prices, Petrol said in a bourse filing.
Its EBITDA loss (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) narrowed to 10.6 million levs from 31.6 million levs in the first half of 2015 thanks to lower impairments.
Petrol finished 2015 with a non-consolidated net loss of 71.1 million levs, narrowing from 258.1 million levs loss in 2014.
Petrol operates 334 fuel stations throughout the country and three petrol port terminals.
