October 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's government has said it is seeking a parliament approval for a state guarantee for a loan of up to 100 million euro ($109.8 million) from German development bank KfW.
Bulgaria will use the procceds of the loan to finance its programme for improving the energy efficiency of apartment buildings, the government said in a statement on Wednesday following a weekly meeting.
The ratification of the loan guarantee by the parliament is a pre-condition for using the proceeds of the loan.
The loan deal between KfW and the state-owned Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) was signed on August 16.
