SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnian PVC manufacturer Yavuz Company, owned by Turkish businessmen Mustafa Yavuz, plans to open a new factory in the Brcko District, creating 100 jobs, local media reported on Wednesday.
Yavuz decided to expand its business to Brcko in order to meet rising regional demand for its products, news portal Indikator said.
Within the next few years, Yavuz plans to hire another 200 people.
Yavuz was founded in 2005 in Bosnia's northeastern municipality of Srebrenik. It exports its products to Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia.
Brcko District is a neutral, self-governing administrative unit under the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, formally part of both autonomous Bosnian entities, the Muslim-Croat Federation and the Serb Republic.
