SKOPJE (Macedonia), June 6 (SeeNews) – The World Bank lowered its forecast for Macedonia's economic growth in 2018 to 2.3% from 3.2% projected in January.
Macedonia's economy is expected to expand by 2.7% next year, compared to 3.9% growth of gross domestic product (GDP) forecast in January, the World Bank said in its June 2018 Global Economic Prospects report.
The bank also lowered its projection for Macedonia's economic growth to 3% in 2020 form from 4% in January.
According to the bank, the Western Balkans region comprising Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia, will achieve economic growth of 3.2% in 2018, 3.4% next year and 3.8% in 2020.
