January 26 (SeeNews) - US-headquartered subscription-based online video services company Ellation on Thursday announced the acquisition of the Moldovan arm of German software solutions provider Yopeso for an undisclosed sum, .
Ellation and Yopeso Chisinau have been working together for over a year, Ellation CEO Tom Pickett said at a presentation conference for Moldovan employees held in Chisinau, according to a video broadcast by local online portal Agora.md.

Based on the good collaboration with Yopeso and the need to expand its team of engineers, Ellation has decided to set foot in Moldova, Pickett added.
Chisinau was Yopeso's main software development site, with over 100 employees, according to data posted on the corporate website.
"Yopeso Chisinau becomes Ellation Moldova," Yopeso announced on Facebook on Thursday.
Ellation has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Tokyo, with more than 200 employees. It operates various media content companies such as VRV and Crunchyroll.
Ellation was founded in 2015 following a $22 million (20.5 million euro) investment made by telecommunications giant AT&T and American film and television production company Chernin Group. The two companies operate a joint venture entity named Otter Media through which they run Ellation.
Yopeso specializes in Agile software development for web and mobile and has over 200 employees, currently located in Germany, Moldova, Romania and Malaysia.
