SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 9 (SeeNews) – Italian banking group UniCredit said on Thursday its two Bosnian units recorded a consolidated profit of 41 million euro ($47.5 million) in the first nine months of 2017, up 14.6% on the year.
The units' net interest income increased 2.3% to 82 million euro in the period under review, while net fees and commission income rose 6.7% to 30 million euro, the UniCredit Group said in an interim financial statement.
The operating income of UniCredit's Bosnian units grew 1.6% on the year to 116 million euro, while net operating profit added 16.9% to 58 million euro.
The units' volume of customer loans increased 5.0% on the year to 1.984 billion euro, while deposits grew to 2.366 billion euro, up 7.6% year-on-year.
UniCredit Group has a banking unit in each of Bosnia's two entities, the Serb Republic and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
