March 23 (SeeNews) - Turkish supermarket chain Migros Ticaret A.S. [IST:MGROS] intends to hire 1,000 people in the next two weeks so as to meet higher demand for online orders during the coronavirus pandemic, the company said Monday, as quoted by local media.
The retail chain is looking for people in need of a job as many businesses have been forced to close due to the outbreak, Sabah daily reported.
The recruitment process will take place online.
The company started to offer a free online delivery option for people aged 60 and over after the coronavirus outbreak, according to the report.
Turkey on Sunday confirmed its 30th death from the coronavirus infection as the number of cases registered in the country jumped to 1,256.
