Turkish economy minister says public bank to open in Ethiopia

ISTANBUL (Turkey), December 12 (SeeNews) – A strong Turkish public bank will begin operations in Ethiopia soon, economy minister Nihat Zeybekci announced at the Ethiopia-Turkey Business Forum in Addis Ababa, as quoted in Turkish media.

Turkish economy minister says public bank to open in Ethiopia

Zeybekci added that Turkey is ready to begin a partnership with Ethiopia in building a Private Economic Zone, which will be constructed in Djibouti, revealed daily Sabah. 

He also said that Turkey had been pleased by the positive reaction of the Ethiopian government towards the initiative.

Turkey viewed Ethiopia as part of the wider East and Central Africa region, which is home to some 400 million people, Zeybekci said.
