ANKARA (Turkey), January 7 (SeeNews) – Turkish banks' combined net profit rose 6.8% on the year to 23.269 billion Turkish lira ($10.732 billion/7.866 billion euro) in the eleven months through November, the country's Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency said on Tuesday. The banking sector's loan portfolio increased 30.4% on the year to 1.01 triillion lira at the end of November, while deposits went up 21.2% to 910.9 billion lira, data from the regulator's November report on the domestic banking sector showed. The total assets of the sector grew 23.8% year-on-year to 1.654 trillion lira as of November 31. (1 euro = 2.9581 Turkish lira)
