ISTANBUL (Turkey), July 7 (SeeNews) – The combined net profit of the Turkish banks declined 11.5% year-on-year to 10.1 billion Turkish lira ($4.7 billion/3.5 billion euro) in the first five months of 2014, the country's Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency said on Monday. The banking sector's loan portfolio increased 22.8% on the year to 1.09 trillion lira by the end of May, while deposits rose 15.4% to 953 billion lira, the regulator said in its May report on the domestic banking sector.
