ISTANBUL (Turkey), June 10 (SeeNews) – The combined net profit of the Turkish banks declined 16% year-on-year to 7.6 billion Turkish lira ($3.6 billion/2.7 billion euro) in the first four months of 2014, the country's Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency said. The banking sector's loan portfolio increased 28% on the year to 1.08 trillion lira by the end of April, while deposits rose 21% to 967 billion lira, the regulator said in its April report on the domestic banking sector issued on Monday.
