ANKARA (Turkey), February 10 (SeeNews) – The combined passenger traffic at the airports operated by Turkey's TAV Airports Holding [BIST:TAVHL] grew by 22% on the year to 6.7 million in January, the company said on Monday. TAV Airports Holding operates 12 airports - four in Turkey and eight abroad. The number of passengers on international routes serviced by TAV Airports in the review period rose by 26% year-on-year to 3.6 million, while the number of passengers on domestic lines grew by 17% to 3.1 million, data released by the company showed. Passenger traffic via the Ataturk Airport rose 15% year-on-year to 4.1 million in January. At Esenboga Airport passenger traffic went up 21% to 908,084 in the first month of the year. The number of passengers services at the Izmir Airport increased 14% to 742,409. Gazipasa Airport registered 15,629 passengers in January, compared to 5,345 a year earlier. TAV Airports also operates the Medinah Airport in Saudi Arabia, the Monastir and Enfidha airports in Tunisia, the Tbilisi and Batumi airports in Georgia, the Skopje and Ohrid airports in Macedonia and the Zagreb airport in Croatia.
