January 23 (SeeNews) - Turkey's treasury and finance ministry said it sold nearly 2 billion Turkish lira ($337.9 million/304.7 million euro) worth of 3-month treasury bills at an auction on January 21. The new issue will mature on April 22, the ministry said in an official statement earlier this week. The total tender amounted to 6.67 billion Turkish lira. The term rate of the treasury bills accepted in the auction at 2.32%. The average annual simple rate was accepted at 9.26%, whereas the accepted annual compound interest rate was 9.59%.
