October 18 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at North Macedonia’s international airports in Skopje and Ohrid reached 1,811,168 in the first nine months of 2022, up 82.2% compared with the same period of last year, Aeroports de Paris (ADP) said. In September alone, passenger numbers increased to 261,728, up 116,494 from September 2021, while in the 12 months through September 2022, passenger traffic rose 92.9% to 2.2 million, ADP said in a statement on Monday. ADP owns 46% of Turkey’s TAV Airports, the company operating the airports in Skopje and Ohrid. Aircraft movements at the two airports reached 14,823 combined in January-September, up 32.3% compared with the like period of 2021. In September alone, there were 2,015 aircraft operations at the two airports, 284 more than in September of last year. In the twelve months through September, aircraft movements rose 40.3% to 18,608.
