August 5 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based insurer Triglav Osiguruvanje [MSE:VROS], part of Slovenian insurance group Triglav, said that it recorded a net loss of 17.6 million denars ($339,200/286,600 euro) in the first half of 2021, after booking a 30.5 million denars net profit in the like period of last year.
Triglav Osiguruvanje's revenue totalled 482.4 million denars in the first six months of 2021, down 8.5% on an annual comparison basis, the company said in an interim financial statement last week.
Net earned premiums dropped 9.7% year-on-year to 407.5 million denars in the January-June period of 2021.
The company's total expenses edged up 1% on the year to 499.9 million denars in the period under review, whereas net claims incurred inched down 0.4% to 235.5 million denars.
