Gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 199.7 billion denars ($3.5 billion/3.2 billion euro) at current prices in the January-March period, Makstat said in a statement.
Exports of goods and services went down by an annual 6% in nominal terms, while imports inched up by 0.5% in the quarter under review.
Household final consumption grew by an estimated 4.8% on the year in the first quarter, and its share in the GDP structure was 72.0%.
The country's statistical office has not yet published the economic growth data for the entire year of 2023.
