October 31 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's steel mill Makstil [MSE:STIL] said on Monday that its net profit rose 43% on the year in the nine months through September, reaching 720.7 million denars ($11.6 million/11.7 million euro). The company's operating revenues went up 78% year-on-year to 8.3 billion denars in the period under review, Makstil said in an interim financial statement. Domestic sales rose 36% to 767 million denars, while sales on foreign markets grew 85% to 7.5 billion denars. Makstil's operating expenses increased by an annual 87% in the first nine months of 2022, to 7.96 billion denars. Makstil produces hot rolled heavy plates. Its main shareholder is Liechtenstein-based Duferco Group, which operates in steel production and distribution, energy trading, shipping and logistics, and engineering. (1 euro = 61.48 denars)
