N. Macedonia's bourse main index rises in June amid lower turnover

July 4 (SeeNews) - The main index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), the MBI10, rose 3.45% month-on-month in June, to 7,704.56 points, as total trading turnover decreased that month, the bourse said on Thursday.

Total turnover totalled 610.9 million denars ($10.7 million/9.9 million euro) in June, down 8.12% month-on-month, while turnover on the bourse's electronic system of trading (BEST) went up 5.75% to 440.1 million denars, the MSE said in a statement.

The number of transactions rose 6.19% month-on-month to 1,681 in June.

The MSE's market capitalisation totalled 280.5 billion denars at the end of June, up 3.26% month-on-month and 28.2% higher on an annual comparison basis.

The MBI10 stood at 5,713.34 points at the end of June 2023. Trading turnover on the MSE totalled 384.1 million denars in June last year, earlier bourse data showed.
