June 24 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said that it has decided to lift all coronavirus restrictions on entry at the country's borders as of June 26 and reopen the airports on July 1.
Travellers will be allowed to enter North Macedonis without having to provide a negative coronavirus test result or stay in quarantine, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.
Furthermore, restaurants will be allowed to use their indoor spaces and gyms will reopen as of June 26.
The government ordered the closure of the country's two international airports - in Skopje and Ohrid, in mid-March in an effort to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease.
North Macedonia has confirmed 118 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total count to 5,311, health ministry data shows. So far, 251 people have died from the COVID-19 disease in North Macedonia.
