December 20 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government is planning to increase the minimum wage to 19,600 denars ($337/318 euro) from 18,000 denars at present, local media reported on Tuesday, quoting deputy prime minister Fatmir Bitiqi.
The increase will enter into force in March 2023, Bitiqi said during a talk show, as quoted by local news outlet Faktor.
The real net wage in North Macedonia decreased 5% year-on-year in September, after falling 4.7% the previous month, according to latest data from the national statistical office. In nominal terms, the average net wage added 12.8% on the year in September, reaching 32,553 denars ($545/529 euro), Makstat has said.
