August 30 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's budget was in deficit of 18.8 billion denars ($359.9 million/304.9 million euro) in the seven months through July, compared with a 32.1 billion denars gap in the same period last year, finance ministry data showed.Consolidated revenues in the January-July period totalled 121.3 billion denars, compared with 105.3 billion denars in the like period of 2020, while tax revenues rose to 742 million denars from 548 million denars, according to data published by the finance ministry.Total expenditures rose to 140.1 billion denars in the review period, compared with 137.4 billion denars in the first seven months of 2020.In July alone, the budget gap nearly halved to 3.1 billion denars, compared with 6.1 billion denars deficit in the same month last year.At the end of 2020, North Macedonia's budget showed a deficit of 53.9 billion denars, compared with a budget gap of 13.6 billion denars a year earlier.A deficit of 46.2 billion denars, equivalent to 6.5% of the estimated gross domestic product (GDP), is projected in the country's revised 2021 budget.(1 euro = 61.66 denars)
